Hello! So we’ve got some retail scoop that’ll have you diving towards your respective credit cards – Fizzy Goblet, the brand which makes the most adorable jhootis has just collaborated with ace Indian designer Payal Singhal to create a Limited Edition capsule collection.
When Payal met Laksheeta Govil, Founder of Fizzy Goblet, she knew she wanted to create something together. “We wanted to do something with Fizzy Goblet for our Lakme Fashion Week show, last season. We work on the same design principle – taking something traditional and making it contemporary. After we worked on that collection we thought it would great to put a collection out in the market for more people to be able to buy,” recalls Payal.
Taking Payal’s signature prints in pretty pastels, adorning it with delicate sequins, intricate hand embroidery or applique work – Fizzy Goblet has created seven stunning designs in their popular jutti-style shoes. Traditional motifs of an attractive peacock and an ornate lotus against subdued backdrops of linen grey, peach and white make for perfect occasion wear. “I think juttis go with everything from kurtas, lehengas to even jeans and shorts!” Payal suggests.
Apart from juttis, in this collection, Fizzy Goblet has also added platform shoes. “Payal’s sensibilities and Fizzy Goblet’s brand personality are very much in sync. I truly believe that designers must join together to curate collaborated collections – it results in an interesting amalgamation of both styles which offers a lot more to the customer,” says Laksheeta.
Here are some photos of these gorgeous shoes!
These three were my favourites –
I feel that this is a GREAT way to get some “designer” in your closet without actually splurging http://hancockandsonplumbing.com/wp-content/themes/premiumnews/thumb.php (they start at Rs. 2,700/-), and hello, did you even look at how insanely cute these shoes are?! Note that these jhuttis also come with an optional platform rubber sole, in case you wanted them to be a more everyday shoe/give them a sporty twist.
You can buy them in the Fizzy Goblet website. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be buying myself a pair before they all sell out!
